Winning Smiles Payment Options
The simplest way to pay for your treatment is just to pay for the treatment received on the day at the end of each appointment. We will always give you an estimate of the cost before commencing your treatment so that there will be no nasty surprises and we are very happy to discuss alternative treatment options, benefits, disadvantages and costs so that together we can design a treatment plan that will best suit your budget.
An alternative approach is to pay for your treatment through the Total Smilecare Plan. You pay a flat amount every month and there is no more to pay for examinations, x-rays, or for any necessary hygienist visits, fillings (including white fillings), root fillings or for the dentist’s work in providing crowns, bridges and dentures. (you simply pay the technicians manufacturing costs for these items). The only additional payments, you would ever have to make is for work of a purely cosmetic nature or for specialist treatment (such as dental implants). The plan also provides you with emergency cover throughout the UK and whenever you are abroad on business or on holiday. You have to be dentally fit in order to join. The monthly fee you pay ranges from £14.99 to £44.41 depending upon your past dental record. The average fee (June 2010) is £24.71. If you would like to know what your monthly fee would be just ask your dentist and he or she will be very happy to work it out for you.
We also have some very special arrangements for younger patients. Those under 18 can join our Junior Smilecare scheme under which they receive the same benefits as above for just £7.99 a month (June 2010). They also receive protective plastic coatings (known as fissure sealants) on their back teeth along with sessions with our oral health nurses to coach them on effective brushing and flossing techniques.
For students between the ages of 18 and 22 we have our Studentplan which provides care both at home and away at college or university for just £96 a year.
If you are not going away to college or university you are still eligible for help with the cost of providing for your Winning Smiles dental care. Anyone under the age of 23 receives £25 cashback from the practice when attending for their six-monthly check-up.
