The practice makes extensive use of the most up to date technology including:
Initial cavities can generally be treated painlessly without the need for an injection or a drill using this fabulous new technology. A jet of water and fine particles washes the decay away. (It is a bit like a dental version of the pressure washer you use on your patio at home.)
These require 90% less radiation than conventional X-rays. The images are available almost instantly and can be magnified by up to 500% to enhance the accuracy of the diagnosis. We even have a full mouth scanner to give us images of bone levels and densities in both jaws simultaneously.
Intra Oral Cameras.
These enable you to see a dentist's eye view of what is happening within your mouth. Your dentist can use the camera to show you the exact nature of the problem with a tooth so that you are in a better position to understand the possible solutions and to arrive AT an informed decision as to what you would like to have done. The hygienist can use the camera to show you areas where you may be having difficulty in removing plaque from your teeth.
Intra Oral Microscopes.
Root canal treatment is really a type of neuro-surgery - and nerves are very small indeed! In all forms of micro-surgery the most important determinant of success is that the surgeon should have an excellent view of what he is trying to treat. We have therefore invested in two surgical microscopes to help us ensure that the root canal treatment we offer you is of the very highest possible standard.
